REM Development received final approval from both the City of Newport and Act 250 to begin the planned apartment building at 338 Highland Avenue. The old hospital building which is currently being used as office space will be redeveloped into 82 one and two bedroom unit apartments. In addition to renovating the existing building and retaining its exterior, two wings will be added to complement the current brick structure.
