The REM Story
REM Development was established in 1984 by developer and entrepreneur, Bob Miller. We’ve built, leased, and managed over 2,000,000 square feet of energy efficient distribution centers, manufacturing sites, warehouses, and flex space. With locations primarily in the Chittenden County area, we are Northern Vermont’s largest developer and lessor of commercial real estate.
We expanded into a family owned and operated business with the creation of The Miller Realty Group in 1995, which operates in tandem with REM Development. Bob’s son, Tim, joined the business in 1989, and daughter Stephanie in 2009.
Although Bob passed away in 2020, his guiding principles of efficiency, quality at a reasonable price and doing business on a handshake continue to influence REM’s day to day operations.
