R.E.M. Development Company is partnering with the Visiting Nurses Association to design and construct a new 21 bed, 24,000 square foot Respite House facility located on Route 7 in Colchester. Bob Miller has been working pro bono to locate and negotiate the purchase of the current site; working with committees to develop building plans; acquire local and state permits; and is acting as a construction manager throughout the entire process to ensure a high quality, efficient facility constructed at a reasonable cost. In addition to donating the land for the Respite House, Bob and Holly Miller are also actively fundraising for the capital campaign.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 30, 2015 and the facility is scheduled to be completed in June 2016.
